The Process

Each commission is a deeply personal collaboration. Here’s how it works:

1. Inspiration & Imagery – You provide reference photos, and we’ll discuss composition, color palette, and any details you love from my previous work.

2. Artistic Alchemy – I blend encaustic, drawing, oil paint, pastels, gold leaf, and other materials to create a rich, layered piece infused with warmth, texture, and emotion.

3. The Magic of Encaustic – Encaustic painting dates back to ancient Egypt, with Fayum mummy portraits that remain vibrant and beautifully intact today. The natural beeswax encapsulates and preserves the artwork, ensuring its longevity.

4. A Treasure to Keep – Your finished portrait will be a timeless piece, uniquely yours, ready to bring meaning and beauty to your space.
